On December 14, the World Economic Forum (WEF) announced the list of the latest batch of "lighthouse factories", and Ningde Times Liyang Base was successfully selected. This is the third "lighthouse factory" awarded by Ningde era after Ningde Base and Yibin base. At present, the only three "lighthouse factories" in the global lithium battery industry are from the Ningde era.

The Lighthouse Factory was selected by the World Economic Forum in partnership with McKinsey, the management consultancy. Due to its rigorous selection criteria, "Lighthouse Factory" has been hailed as "the most advanced factory in the world", representing the highest level of intelligent manufacturing and digitalization in the global manufacturing sector today.
According to the World Economic Forum, in order to solve the problems such as surging demand for production capacity and rising labor costs, and to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality in Ningde Era, Ningde Era Liyang Base has taken a number of measures: These include simulating quality checks using big data, reducing line change times through additive manufacturing (3D printing), using computer vision to achieve quality checks at the micron level, and using deep learning to optimize process control and energy management. After the successful implementation, the production capacity of the Liyang base has been increased by 320%, the manufacturing cost has been reduced by 33%, the single failure rate of the product has been reduced from one part per million to one part per billion, and the carbon dioxide emissions have been reduced by 47.4%.
