Eastern European Division｜Focus on the Finals of The 6th China (Jinan) New Growth Drivers Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

From November 10th to 12th, the finals and award ceremony of The 6th China (Jinan) New Growth Drivers Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were successfully held at the Xueye Lake International Conference Center. Wang Qinglin, Chairman of the Committee on Emerging Technologies and Career Development of the Asia-Pacific Engineering Organization and Chairman of the China Committee of the Asia-Pacific Engineering Organization of the China Association for Science and Technology; Ren Lihua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Gong Wendong, Deputy Minister of the Organization Department of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee; Zhou Chunyan, Member of the Party Group, Deputy Director, and Level One Inspector of the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Shandong Province; Yu Haitian, Deputy Secretary of the Jinan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Yang Feng, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; Chen Yang, Member of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the Organization Department; and Dai Longcheng, Member of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, attended the awards ceremony, as well as academicians from home and abroad, national-level talents, representatives of foreign experts, and overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese organizations.

Chinese Ambassadors to Hungary, Gong Tao; to South Korea, Xing Haiming; and Consul General in Lyon, France, Lu Qingjiang, delivered speeches via video.

The competition attracted 4,828 projects from over 50 countries and regions worldwide. Compared with the previous competition, there was a 20.9% increase in the number of projects. After competitions in 16 preliminary regions, 240 projects stood out and entered the finals in Jinan. Following intense competition, 60 projects received awards. Among them, Sun Qijun from the Eastern European Division won the second prize with the project "Industrialized Application of High-Performance Graphene Electrodes for Liquid Flow Batteries," and Laszlo Nemeth won the third prize with "Centrifugal Partition Chromatography Purification Technology."

At the award ceremony, Jinan announced ten measures to financially support the development of talent enterprises, solving worries about talent entrepreneurship with substantial support. Contract signing ceremonies for landing projects and financial institutions, as well as for outstanding landing projects, were also held, providing intimate services to boost project rooting and growth. Among them, Zhang Zhicheng, Chief Engineer of Droplet Cloud Digital Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd. from the Eastern European Division, signed a landing agreement with the start-up zone on behalf of their participating project and successfully obtained a 5 million yuan investment from Shandong Shuchuang Private Equity Fund Management Co., Ltd.

The event also conducted the plaque presentation ceremony for Jinan's Overseas Innovation Station, where Jiao Chao, President of the Central and Eastern Europe - China Science and Technology Exchange Association, was invited to participate.

During the "Choose Jinan, Win the Future" city promotion meeting on the day of the award ceremony, talents from home and abroad got to know and understand Jinan better. Thomas Amon, President of the Slovenia-China Friendly Association, as a special guest, expressed strong belief that Jinan will become a hotbed for innovation and entrepreneurship. The Slovenian-Chinese Friendship Association will continue to promote cooperation between the two countries in technology, economy, culture, and education.

Chen Tuchuan, as a representative of an outstanding enterprise introduced and landed in the fourth Jinan Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition by the Central and Eastern Europe - China Science and Technology Exchange Association, was invited to speak. He expressed that Shandong Huaisi Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. has been able to develop and grow smoothly by relying on comprehensive support from the municipal and district governments in company registration, policy implementation, fund support, office space, and talent apartments. Therefore, the company will be more determined in its research direction and contribute to the development of Jinan's artificial intelligence industry.

With many hands, great achievements can be made. Only when talents gather can a bright future be drawn for the spring city! The successful conclusion of this competition not only marks the end of a stage but also represents a new beginning.
